SDO ASSESSMENT AND MEASUREMENT
INDICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT

SDO® are a made-to-measure lycra garment which require individual assessment and measurement by a trained clinician.

Each patient must be individually assessed to determine if dynamic compression positively assists their needs. If you or your loved one has functional deficits related to:
-
Poor postural control
-
Decreased proximal stability
-
Hypermobility
-
Increased tone
-
Decreased sensory feedback
then assessment for dynamic compression is recommended.

ASSESSMENT AND MEASUREMENT
The SDO® ProTEM™ garment range has been designed as a tool for clinicians to assess a patient’s response to dynamic compression. Patients who respond positively to ProTEM™ garment assessment by their clinician should then be considered for an SDO®. Clinicians interested in assessing the benefits of dynamic compression for their patients may purchase SDO® Pro-TEM™ garments for their clinics.
Patients who are recommended for an SDO® by their clinician will then require precise and multiple measurements of their body or body part to be taken and recorded, from which an SDO® is then custom manufactured. Reinforcement panels are included in the SDO® design based on individual patient needs.

If you or your clinician feel that a dynamic lycra compression garment could be of benefit to you or your loved one, please contact us to discuss your needs or book a consultation for assessment and measurement with one of our trained clinicians.
